Re: 1995 Bonn SE code reader 16 pins
There are plenty 12 to 16 but no 16 to 12. I bought a reader that says ODB 1.5, which is perfect for my 95 but the car connecter is 16 pins and this device is 12. Why did GM make this so hard. I guess they force you to use dealer with a T-1 machine. Thanks for the reply.

1995 Bonn SE code reader 16 pins
Keeping my dad's 95 se Bonniville. Replaced things that go bad and recently did a job on struts, brakes, tie rods, and alignment. It started running really rough and smelled like gas or bad smell. Finaly got the check engine light. Wasted money on code reader only to find out it has a 16-pin ...

Gear ratio to replace CV
Hello out there. I have been trying to figure out this rubbing sound when I turn left. It changes with the steering of the car and brakes. I have been told and looked for signs of the struts. Still a puzzle until recently. While driving at a certain rpm there is a growling like u-joints use to make ...

Power Steering Pump TFE or EVO
Replacing the power steering pump on my 95 Bonn. NAPA has one but no place to connect electric connector. The repair manual says that the regular and TFE (Two flow electronic system) are not interchangeable. They had nothing that had a place to connect wires. How do I find out which pump I have. The ...

Re: Harmonic blanacer replacement
Hi, I was reading your post trying to figure out where a knocking rattling sound is coming from on my 95 3800 Bonn. It doesn't change when I vary RPMs. What does the sound make coming from the balancer? Sometimes it effects the starting. Thanks for any advice on where to look for a problem.

Rear seat seat belt rubber band
Installing a audio system on my 95 Bonn. Pulled the back seats out to gain access to trunk. When I was reinstalling the back I noticed these two plastic clips, with a rubber band attached. on either side near the top. They were folded inside and I never noticed them before. It looks like the ...

Re: 95 Bonneville front end noises
Hey, thanks for the attention. I jacked her up and found the torsion bar on both ends where worn out. The play in the short piece connecting the bar to the wheel had rubbers that were worn out. The wheel had no play. Very solid and no noise when turning the wheel. It appears the wheel bearings are ...

95 Bonneville front end noises
For awhile my right front end would growl as I turned to the left going down the road. Now it makes a popping sound on a left turn going over bumps. Where should I look for something loose or broken? Would it be the trans axle or the strut? I am going to jack it up and see what happens when I jar ...

Fuel pump prime
From what I have read about concerning fuel pressure, this is new. Car died while driving. Coasted to a stop on the side of the road. would crank but acted like she wanted to start but no go. Had her towed home. Started to take steps. Was it getting fuel? Disconnected return line, turned the key ...

Re: Evaporator removal 95 se
Success! Got the evaporator out without going inside. The ONE screw they put at the bottom was an easy work around. Its a squre plastic insert with wings to hold it then screw from inside. Well I just clipped the wings off and wallah cover came off. I see no need for this screw. I can put a new ...

Re: Evaporator removal 95 se
After further checking I have found that most GM compressors require 150. I best check with A/C expert on this or damage could result with wrong viscosity.

Re: Evaporator removal 95 se
After checking the service manual I found that the a/c system requires about 8 oz oil. If replacing the major components it says add so many oz to the system. That answers my question about dumping out the liquid (about 3 oz) in the accumulator. I was wondering if I can put oil directly back in ...
