Unless you power wash the underside of the vehicle or steam clean it, the oil should last at least the four bad months of salty weather.

You can also smear grease in the bad areas working it in good with a brush.

If and when you do decide to fix it right you can easily steam clean it all off ...

Covering rust is a temporary fix, and covering it with fiberglass makes it tougher to go back and do a permanent fix. The rust under the fiberglass would spread out, so eventually the fiberglass would just fall through a bigger rust hole. Sand may work to make the underside of the car kind of nasty ...

Fiberglass is pretty easy. There are glass fibers interwoven to form a cloth-like thing. You mix a resin with a hardener that makes the mixture rock solid after some waiting time. Pour the mixture over the cloth, and you've got fiberglass. Fiberglass can cover a hole since you just lay the sheet ...

i want to fibergalss it but the thing about that is.....idk the first thing about it. :sad: duct tape was already on the car on both sides to hold it up when i brought it. i just hadnt noticed it till i got the car home. but not to sound dumb or anything....what exactly am i getting fiberglassed ...

wow. thats crazy. hope your mom doing good.

but idt they should total the car from how it looks. ive seen worse. they might have said that because the airbags came out. up here they total all car that have thier air bags come out. no matter what little damage it is.

ok what about if theres a part on the car where it has rusted through but it just looks like surface and i go to sand it down with sand paper and i go through a liittle bit. what should i do my autobody guru?

ok so your saying take both sides off for the winter. how do i remove them from the front because the back i see the screw on the rubber. the foam thing i did it a lil. not much. i jus put it at each end and then a lil in the middle just to keep it sucure as i drive. i never knew that the panels ...

well i dont know where you are from but by me body shop rates are like $100/hr. The rocker they will have to cut out of a good car then cut whats left out of yours then weld in the good metal. prime and paint i think you are looking at well over 10 hrs of labor. Then the cost of materials and misc ...

Check the subframe connections. If they are bad, you could have a safety problem.
