Hey nice looking Bonne! I have one thought on what your brown sheet of paper is, the one alongside the window sticker. Could it be the factory broadcast sheet? I think that's what they're called...I know my old '66 Barracuda had one, which basically listed the options the vehicle came with. And if I recall my second TGP had one of those as well..

ok but dont they list all of that on the window sticker? but your saying its something similar to the RPO codes on the spare tire lid right?

The Brown paper is the Actual Build Sheet.... Some have the build sheet, others were thrown away at the factory..

Huh..I wonder why the original buyers of my 93 didn't just buy an SSE. My window sheet says 26k and change IIRC, and yours is $27,400...odd. Mine isn't really that special of an SE either...60/40 cloth bucket bench, 1SD... oh well.

Nice car, too bad about the rust. :angry7:

That brown sheet is technically called the "manifest". It's essentially the same thing as a build sheet, but in the industry, it's known as a "manifest".

Good find nonetheless! Most people can't find them or they've been removed! :beerchug:

oooooh, good luck.
You may want to take the skirt off for the winter. I think ice and snow will ruin it for sure, unless you can repair it correctly now.
Some sheet metal and Bondo in the spring. That is my non-professional opinion.

Keep those papers for sure!

For the rust you'll need to have it all cut out and replaced with new metal... its the only way to do it right. Unfortunately, there's probably more rust than just that one spot...

From the looks of that cancer, it could be terminal. :angry7:

Check the subframe connections. If they are bad, you could have a safety problem.

its going to take a lot of work to get that rocker panel looking good. If you take it to a shop your probably looking at $1000-$2000 to do it right.

well i dont know where you are from but by me body shop rates are like $100/hr. The rocker they will have to cut out of a good car then cut whats left out of yours then weld in the good metal. prime and paint i think you are looking at well over 10 hrs of labor. Then the cost of materials and misc shop charges.

well see theres a problem with that solution. SSEs are very Very hard to find here in my city. especially the year i have. ive only seen 5 here for as long as ive been here. all the rest are newer models
1st one:towed away somewhere,
2nd: owned by someone who still drives it,
3rd:the 1 i own
4th and 5th: being sold by a dealer and private owner.

there isnt another or easier way? jimmyfloyd on NEBC was telling me i could put some expanding foam in between to hold it there till i can think of something better to do.

You could rivet some sheet metal for that ghetto look.

If you're handy with fibreglass you could go there but bonding to the metal will be the issue.
The worst problem with any car to have is rust. Once the metal has oxidized there is no structural strength.

Body work is very expensive. $80 per hour here for good body work and painting. I estimate that job at about $2000.

Time for a newer model and another RIP.

The foam will make it worse because it will trap in moisture and accerate the cancer. And you it doesnt need to be the rocker panel from SSE all the rockers are the same on the Bonnes of that body style. So anything from an SE or SSEi would work.
