On my 1999 SSE the front seats have seen better days so I was looking for replacements and found a few but none in tan like mine. Couple local spots have the dark grey in perfect shape. My question is what do you think about having a tan interior with the dark grey seats?
On the 96-99 they came already with dark grey dash covers, center council covers, steering wheel and column and some other random grey stuff. I'm just wondering if it would tie in well being their is some grey already? I even though of swapping the carpet to if need be but I'm trying to avoid swapping the whole interior cause that's just a pain.

I'm answering only because no one else has. I don't really think I'm the best one to respond. The only thing I can say is, how does it look to your eye and most importantly, how does it look to your wife. I like two tone, but that's just me. I'm not sure how your colors would look though and would be afraid to speculate. Hope someone with a better eye for color responds. - BC

I had seen this but didn't answer either because I thought someone else might have better insight. My personal opinion is no, don't do it but I like things to match. If it were my car it would bother me. I prefer the dark grey interior option for my car but I have tan and I'm sticking with it. If it's not a big deal to you, go for it. If other's don't like it, don't worry, it's not their car. In the end it's got to be what you like, not what others say.

So... I guess there's no real answer in any of that rambling, is there...

Cheers! :beerchug:

Thanks guys for the input! I've had factory cars with two tone interiors and their nice if done right. I'm just not sure how it's going to look and plus the other fact of these cars are ridiculous to find tan interior parts let alone any interior parts. I'm going to see if the place that has them is willing to do returns if I don't like it

It might look goofy, but it might look fine. If your seats are trashed, I wouldn't think twice if I found a clean gray interior.

What I was thinking of doing is get the seats and try them. Just found out today the local pick and pull has a 30day return policy on everything and their is full refunds if you don't want them.

Two tone can look great if done correctly... have have mismached factory colors before, and your right it just has to match... throw up a photo of the seats and of your interior so I can see the color difference... Ive done some wild color clash in my day, im an interior designer by trade... if I can see them I can give you an idea... however sometimes you just need to try...

I had a Plymouth Acclaim white w/ red interior and I put grey RT seats and door panel inserts in the car... looked a bit striking but the seats had red pinstripes and looked like they belonged in there when I finished... you'll never know until you try...

Im about to put a full Larado interio into my Cherokee
