Help.

Car: 2002 Bon SLE
Problem: Floors Soaked

Diagnostics completed: No rain. So it isn't the sun roof or door seal. Air Conditioner is running on overtime, and every time I sop up the mess, it's standing water with in minutes. No normal drips coming from under the car when air conditioner is running. Logic says that my condensor is leaking into my car. Help me find it. Please. I'm in Florida, it's 90+ degrees out, and I don't like having a custom pool in my back seat for my 1 month old to play in. Thanks.

Edit: I should add, I just cleaned/fixed the sun roof drains last fall, and secured them with zip ties, so I know that's not the issue either.

Your evaporator is clogged theres a how to in the technifo section on how to clean it out. Hopefully its not clogged to the point that it need replaced.

Yup, you need to get under the car, and find the drain. What mechanics usually do is blast the drain with compressed air, and then get ready for a cold shower.

Where is the drain? I crawled under there, and nothing jumped out at me. I am not having an air flow problem at all. The post that I found in the tech section refrenced cleaning the EVAP system to treat poor air flow.

but the evap core is also what produces the cold air. the evap core is where the freon boils and gets extremelly cold then the air coming across it is what you get from the vents. clean that and your condenser on the front of the car

I get what the evap does, and what it produces. Maybe when I'm home... It does not to be cleaned. I am on vacation, I need to know where the drain is suppose to come out of so I can drain it. I need to figure out where the spot that RJolly87 referenced when he said mechanics blow it out with air.

That helps a ton! Thanks. Does the tube stick down at all? When I was under it yesterday I tried to get behind what felt like a fire resistant/sound barrier cloth that was on the fire way. I presume it's behind that, right?

Found it! That picture helped a ton. It's not accessable from the top, have to access from underneath. Saw a little stub sticking out, stuck a screw driver in there, and ~ 1/4 gallon poured out. Perfect! Thanks!

95SE, your setup is completely different. If he tried that, he'd make an even bigger mess, because that relies on the drain to be working, as well as he'd get water all over everything else down there too. 00+ is a whole different animal.

Glad you got it!
