I have a 99 bonneville 3800 series II. 102K miles. I noticed some smoke coming from the exhaust manifold just behind the valve cover (closest to the firewall). I haven't pinpointed it yet but, it seems as though it may be coming from the valve cover and dripping down on the manifold. Is it possible that it may just be my valve cover gasket and if so, is this a fairly easy and inexpensive job? Never done it before.

Most likely is your valve cover.
