Hi all. I'm looking to do an L67 swap into my project car and was wondering if an L26 harness can be used. I guess the big question is what kinds of mods will need to be done to the harness or what plug-and-play harnesses will I have to buy to make it work? Thanks for your help!

What is your project car? L26 has drive by wire, and I am not sure how much is different.

Oh yeahhh. You're right about the drive by wire. I forgot about that. I'm putting a 97 L67 in a Porsche 944. I already swapped out the heads for some 01 heads since the 97s might have a weaker casting.

Heads are actually all the same on the S2 motors, casting strength wise.

But yes, the L26 used drive-by-wire and from what I understand it can't read boost.

IIRC the earlier head castings were larger in diameter around the top of the valve guide and that caused some issue with aftermarket springs and/or higher lift. I do vaguely remember something about those earlier castings being more prone to cracking between the valves too.. but we're talking like club gp 2005ish.. trying to remember back that far is a task in it's self.
