Just wondering since apparently SLP doesn't offer them anymore (man they were expensive too). Does anyone make them anymore? It will likely be the next mod on my list of many...

You have a couple of options. Especially if you shop used.

That's good to hear! I'm open to used.

Do the SDs bolt on or require other mods? Are they good quality?

What are my other options?

The cheaper headers are design in "as installed" position and don't go together very easily, but they are decent quality once you get them in right. If it's your first header installation it's going to be just a little difficult. And it all depends on your ability. If I was to do my SD headers again I would have cut the flange off the old rear manifold and used it as a spacer to adjust the fit. That might have just been my set of headers or maybe doubling up on gaskets is all it would have needed to make it perfect. Don't use the gaskets from the kit and also use copper RTV on each joint. Retorque all clamps after they heat cycle, fix any residual leaks after they heat cycle.
If you have a welder, don't be afraid to make adjustments to the crossover as you need. The crossover is a very tight fit and can be difficult with the SD headers.

If you didn't hear already stay away from the OBX/pacesetter knockoffs (they have a Y connector behind the rear header).

Any advice for Speed Daddy's in a 2000+? There's more wiggle room than older H-bodies and w-bodies.

Speed Daddy's come at a GREAT price! Do I need to make any other mods to make them fit (I saw other threads where the SLPs required some other parts moved)?

What about TOG headers?

TOG went out of business, there's one place that claims to still have some New in the box, but idk. Otherwise, used is your best bet. TOG's were the best.

Beware, speed daddy's will require a lot more work on your end, sealing them up. SSEiMan01 is going through that now with his 96...

3800 Performance still sells TOG's. He basically owns TOG and still makes them. He even improved on the design some. I bought a set from him years ago and they still look new, man those headers had the best ceramic coating.

Is it worth it to spend $850 on headers? I've got the money to spend, but I'm wondering if I should. Is it an easy bolt on application with TOG?

Personally I'd say no. Even with the issues you might have with Speed Daddys, $250 bucks handily beats $850. Take the extra money and buy a used intercooler set up.

I have been nearly regretting buying Speed Daddies, after installing them on Heath's 02 SSEi and my 96 SSEi, almost two years apart, nothing has improved, the 96-99 has a lot more in the way (fan motor, motor mount, firewall clearance is nill) Overall I'm glad I have them, but bear in mind cheap headers are just that, cheap. They were an absolute bitch to get in right and they do still leak for right now, planning to fix that this week. As long as I don't ever, EVER have to take them out again, I'll be happy with them.

Just adding a tidbit of info on Speed Daddy headers. If you buy them on ebay from the listing that has a "Best Offer" option, like the Bid or Buy It Now options, offer $197. That offer will be accepted. Not a bad price, $197 for a shipped set of headers. I have yet to install mine on my 97' Buick Park Avenue Ultra. It is a toss up, between my Speed Daddy's or my set of TOGs. Both are a pain to install from what I hear.
