It has been awhile but here i am with some spare time and money and i want to increase my headlight performance.
I have been searching the forums and will most likely grab full set of HIRs and two relay harnesses. That being said...I have no idea what i am doing in wiring up those harnesses and i could not seen to find a guide on this site. Anyone able to spell it out for me, maybe include some pictures. I have access to a host of tools just need to know where to hook what.

Also if i catch some extra money i want to invest in new fogs and was going to grab some PIAA 510's as they seem to be well liked. Would i need to relay those as well? Are there better, cheaper options available? currently i cant even tell when my fogs are on while driving so anything would be an upgrade. (Note that i do want them to be used as fog lights and not just more driving light.)

If I was going to do it, I'd put the power lead to the top of the fuse-box (direct to the battery) and find a solid place to ground it, scrape the paint off and use some battery terminal protector over it. Then you'll hook one headlight into the plug for the turn-on reference and plug the other ends into your headlights.

Tomorrow I can take you a picture of mine. I have the power lead at the fuse box and it's grounded to miscellaneous bolts. Works perfect.

Sorry, I dragged a bit. This is for HIDs so it'll be a little different. But these are good grounds that I found. These pics show them pretty well. Obviously power goes to the positive post by the fuse box. Then you plug in your HIRs or regular bulbs in. You'll still need to use the passenger side 9006 male end to give signal to the harness when you put the lights on.

Thanks for the pictures!
A bit more technical of a question here:
will this: http://www.rakuten.com/prod/-1-hid-cone ... 283132495#
work with the HIR 9012/9011 bulbs?

Q: Other than changing bulbs, is there another way I can make my lights brighter?
A: Yes. You can relay your low and high beams. To find a relay harness, simply type in 9006 or 9005 relay into ebay or your preferred online store. Don't worry if it says Xenon or HID harness in the title. They will work fine for halogens too. Please note this is only true in the case of 9006 and 9005 bulbs.

It says only true in the case of 9006/9005 bulbs so i thought i would ask if there is a special harness needed for the HIR bulbs.
Some harnesses i see have wattage maximums lower than the HIR bulbs (i.e., 50 watt max and the 9012/9011 bulbs are 55/65 watt, respectively)
See - http://store.candlepower.com/hirlighting.html

Side note - love your pcm just chillen in the bottom there; is there anything a zip tie cant do?

That harness will work perfectly fine with HIRs.
