Year and Trim: 2001 SSEi
After a few days of windows operating by themselves and working sometimes, they all stopped working. All are now open and I can't close them. The buttons for the seat memory don't work, and none of the power windows operate from the drivers door. The power mirors don't work either. The front passneger window just started working again, if you use the controls on that door to open and close the window. The back windows don't work even using the controls on the back doors. I took out both seats and carpet and looked for any corroded wires over the weekend and found none. Today I replaced the driver's door module and no change. The part number was different on the one I got from the junkyard, but it was from a 2003 SLE. All plugs were the same and it looks identical.
I have not replaced the door controls since I assumed it was the DDM since both windows, and seat memory buttons have all stopped working. I have checked the fuse and the circuit breaker under the back seat, and they are both fine.
I NEED SOME HELP PLEASE! I'm lost.
And, we're getting rain here, so I'm havine to drive my wife's minivan!
Please help me get back in my car!

This has the green check mark next to it indicating that the problem has been solved? Is that the case?

Door module isn't the same. SLE's don't have memory settings.

What are the part numbers for both the original and the replacement module?

The part numbers may be different because one is a newer revision. Memory and other settings are not always stored within a specific module. For example, the clock in the radio stores the time in one of the BCM's and time can be updated by three different methods. Presets are the same in some cases (stored in a BCM). Off the top of my head I'm not sure in this case but we need to investigate it a little further

Okay, just checked a few photos. The first was the DDM from my '04 GXP and the second was a photo from an '04 SE. Both DDM's have the same part number (21999380) so I suspect that the problem is not likely the module (although it is possible you could have got another bad one... just not too likely). This definitely suggests the SLE version should be compatible with the SSEi.

Archon may have some thoughts on this as well. In the interim, I'll have a look as well and formulate a few thoughts.

Which fuse did you check? I'll have to double check, but IIRC there are different fuses for different door modules.

I thought I'd wait to see what the OP has to say on if the problem may have been resolved. In the meantime, I've been trying to find a commonality between the windows and seats, and haven't found a firm answer yet. Even the power and grounds appear to be seperate. I have to check further to see what programming is contained within the DDM, as there is a seperate memory seat module that controls the seats, but could also be fed through the DDM. The windows and such are pretty much self contained through the simple bus interface, with the DDM as the central point. Programming may be the key, but you'd think that at least the windows would start to work properly.

Power and ground are all seperate as you say. I've got a few thoughts as well. I agree however that before going too crazy I'm curious if this is still an issue.

At least of what I've found so far. I have more checking to do, but time is my enemy with that.
