Started tackling the rust on my blazer...
It was all surface rust, so i just ground the rust down to bare metal, i'm gonna put some POR-15 over the "infected" areas, then put some Herculiner brush on bedliner on bottom.

The green tape is the outline of where the herculiner will be...
As you can see i removed the side body molding - it wont be going back on. i'd like to remove it off the side of the rear bumper too, but its not just stuck on with tape, its got clips, so if i took it off there would be holes in the bumper.






This is the bad side...






And the start of the debadging process. You can also see the hitch i bought (its not fully mounted on so thats why it looks kinda funny)




And as it sits in my driveway...


Hopefully i can finish it up this weekend (weather permitting). After the rust repairs, and debadging is done, im going to remove the ugly white pinstripe (might replace it with a red one?), fix the leaky rear-end, buy new mirrors, find out where i'm losing my Power Steering Fluid at, and it should be ready for the road...

i know i didnt scuff the hell out of
the bed i on my s-10 when i had it
and it peeled off within a couple months

Yea you can kinda see the driver side front door is all scuffed up, i just ran the "grinder" over the surface to get it all scuffed up, i'll probably just do that to the entire area after the POR-15...

You should put on a smoked license plate cover. I run one and never get hassled.

little update - havn't done anything with the rust, weather really hasn't cooperated at all...
