Saved Her!

My daughter had a fender bender in the Bonneville and since the age/damage I knew the insurance would total it. Since it is only 170,000 on here she has a long life so, I acquired the parts and had a fun Memorial Day weekend.

I went from this

By late afternoon Saturday I (with the help of a close friend) was here

Sunday my friend and I got the 8 gazillions welds done and the core support was in and ready for rust prevention over the welding areas.

Monday I reassembled all the good parts. It would have been ready to drive, but I didn't notice the AC Condenser coil damage, so I had to order one and decided I did not want to rip the radiator back out when it comes in. It sorat a clown car right now, but she is back to being a Bonneville on the road instaead of a retired heap in a salvage yard. When I get time to do a good repaint I'll tweak some of my panel alignment as I am not totally satisfied with it. Some of it I think my be the original, undamaged part of the car, but we'll get that later.

Anyways she is bout ready to roll again. The dauagher is waiting to cruise in Dad's Bonnie again.

Reminds me of my work on my 94, but you had a far better reason for doing that. That's really good work. Thanks for saving your Bonneville.

what no clear corners while you were at it? j/k

other than the fact that it is not a 1999 SE it looks exactly like my car. Same interior too!

Great Job!

*cough* whitecurse! *cough*

Really nice work. I'd like to learn to weld, that seems like one really handy thing to know how to do.
Can't wait to see it all painted back to factory again!
Good work!
