So first chance I got (Friday) I flushed the coolant out and managed to get the car into the garage. Hell must have frozen over because the Bonneville kicked dad's '67 Cougar out, though it went to the neighbors garage for a couple nights so it wasn't outside. Anyway Friday afternoon I tore everything down.

Found more goo in the top corners of the valve covers:

LIM:

SC:

Under the LIM & LIM Gaskets:

Crank case:

This broke, as well as both coolant elbows

Nastyness on the Heads (The coolant was mostly Dex-kill mud when I got it, this is after 5 flushes now):

Makeshift bench and top end stuff:

Cleaned and tucked away for the night:

Saturday I spent all day cleaning various parts (Though I did get a late start)
The LIM went back on and the rest of the parts were drying over night.

Wrinkle Black:
This is actually just before I realized I had the gold paint in my hands

Almost finished:

Notice anything?

Sunday I finished everything up. Dad helped with the valve covers.

I was going to paint the inset stripes gold but after the letters came out I didn't want it to clash, this worked out very nice though:

Trying to figure out where the leftover bolt goes. (It was the hidden one lowest on the accessory bracket)

Coming together:

All done, she started around 10:35 PM:

Afterthoughts:
-Should have went ahead and painted the LIM (But didn't really have time to clean it up properly & I thought wouldn't be noticeable)
-The 'Pontiac' should have been closer to the fill cap, forgot those wires go over the end of it.
-Biggest mistake, I should have washed the engine before I started.
-I never checked the plugs, would have been simple to get the rears with stuff out of the way.
-Make sure retaining clips are on the injectors before putting the fuel rail back on, They were the second to last thing to go back on, and that was a real PITA.
-Trans Fluid and ISS replacement is next and then this car should be good to go
