Constant malfunction indicator chimes

Howdy folks! My 1994 SSEi is constantly chiming and the dashboard malfunction indicator is showing different lights going bad all the time. None of them are actually bad. Plus the red "brake" indicator is constantly coming on and setting off the chimes also and the brakes aren't bad either. Is there a way to just turn off the chimes?

the brakes may not be bad, but that light also checks your brake fluid level. Never ignore the Red Brake light. check your fluid level, if its the tiny amount low it can turn that on during turns and such. also double check your parking brake, theres sensor on that as well. pull the release and pull up on the pedal to make sure it not just sitting down to low, or you bumped it a bit

you may also want to check all your ground connections on your car.
The ones in the driver foot well and passenger foot well are prone to water corrosion causing possible problems like what you are experiencing.

I've already worked the grounds issue--cut all the wires off the buss and soldered them together. The car was stalling for no apparent reason and that fixed it. The tail light and brake light chimes had been coming on before that and still come on. I topped off the brake reservoir, but don't know if it fixed the brake chime yet as the car is driven by my 18 year old son and I'm usually asleep when he leaves in the morning and asleep when he comes home.. I'll "text" him and find out. Ah, modern technology.
