For the ELC trick you just have to disconnect the level control rod. A 10 mm wrench or you can even pop out the ball from the socket, but I prefer to unscrew it. Pump up the rear first by pressing the trunk button with the key on. It make it easier to reach in to undo the rod.
If running stock tires, air them down to 20 psi in front and up to 40 psi in rear.
Go around the water box and spin the tires briefly to clean off any dirt.
Stage. Hold your brake to preload the engine at 2000 rpm in Drive. On the last yellow, release the brake and easy into the throttle so the tires only chirp and bite without going up in smoke. That takes a little practice with a front wheel drive with loads of torque. Keep the shifter in Drive and keep it matted until after you cross the finish line.
If you want to showboat and roast your tires in the burn out box.
Make sure your Ventilation system is turned off.
Stage your front tires just after rolling them thru the water and put on the parking brake as hard as you can. Place the shifter in 2nd gear.
When given the signal, stab the throttle so the engine gets up to about 5000 rpm. It will shift to 2nd pretty quick. Saw the steering wheel slightly back and forth to make sure both tires are spinning. That is very important to save your differential from burning out.
You will probably spin them for about the same amount of time it will take you to cover the 1/4 mile.
Stock, about 15 seconds.
Happy racing.
