Seems to me that the INTENSE kit comes with a bit more. Hard to say, as ZZP isn't very specific. I personally wouldn't expect either kit to be identical. You have the advantage of the vendors being members here.

The way it sounds on the web page, it includes the filter. From the pictures it looks like spacers are plastic instead of metal from intense. Also, intense includes more springs and O rings.

He ordered that kit last night and I will be installing it next week, depending on what happens with my son at the hospital. Once I do the install I will know the difference seeing that I have the intense installed on my car.

Are there springs in there? I don't see any.

That's kind of what I thought. A filter and some spacers. The intense kit comes with springs. This should work just about as good. Might not be quite as firm, but will be faster then stock. let me know when you want to do this. I'm installing my headers next week so I need to do that on a different day from your work.

You just paid $15 for some plastic spacers. What a joke.

I am thinking about doing a return, and just saving for the intense one. What you think?

Are there any review of the ZZP kit on ClubGP or anything? I think getting the INTENSE kit would be a smart idea.

Yea I agree with you, but I might just run with this for a while, cause I do need to have a tranny flush done, so when i get the money for the intense one I will do that. I guess it will do for now. Not sure on the clubgp one. If you find something let me know.

I suspect that the Intense kit is pretty much the Thrasher kit FWIW.
http://www.thrashercharged.com/store_ht ... _group.asp
They also throw in a T-shirt.

If you just want the bang screech 4T65E trans shift kit all you will need is the spacers because the dimensions of the spacers will fix the position of the accumulator piston... it can't move.
I make them and anyone that does a shift kit when hanging around in my garage gets one for free.
If you like.... I'd be happy to send you the specs for how to make one.. DIY kit.
As far as the springs, they make some difference but I really suggest that its nominal. it will soften shifts slightly without them because the accumulator piston will have some free movement. The springs just keep the accumulator piston from banging back & fourth.

I don't want to mess with Thrasher, Intense or ZZP... they make an honest business because they offer instructions, new gaskets, o-rings, filter etc. but I think ZZP got it right. keep it simple.

I went with the Thrasher kit for my 01. Quite happy with the results. Atleast the spacers were metal, bronze I think. I wouldn't bother putting in a shift kit without the springs tough, IMO.

Make your own, its easy

and

For the life of me I don't see why someone would want to spend $100+ on a simple shift-kit.
