I never see anything leak nor is the inside carpet wet but the other day when I took my spare out, there was a decent size puddle of water in there. Were can this be coming from???

Get someone to stuff inside the trunk with a flash light, run water all over the trunk area.
Most likely you'll see water come through the weather stripping. The seal may be drying up on you. Mine did. 3M weather strip adhesive is what i bought to fix the issue.

ptrfair was yours a slow leak?? I stuffed myself in there and had my mom hold the hose all over the car and couldn't find nothing at first. She opened the trunk and we did it again, but that allowed a little puddles in the trunk and I saw some water coming from the weatherstrip by the latch.

I just looked in my spare tire well. It was full to the brim with water. No wonder my gas mileage has sucked lol!

lol yea mine wasn't that badly full but it does get some water..SUCKS!

My spare tire well has been found full too many times. I couldn't find where the seal was broken so I just took another angle on this. I know some might object to this but what I did was find the lowest point in the bottom of the well and punched two very tiny holes through the metal to allow any future water to drip out. Kind of a redneck solution for now, LOL.

there are already holes in there... they are just plugged with some rubber thingies.

I just took off the trunk seal, put some 3m weather striping sealant on the edge and stuck it back on. no leaks since. I got lucky it wasn't my spoiler or something.

I tried all the typical leak spots over 6 months (spoiler, sunroof drains, window seal, etc)...couldn't find the problem. Then I decided to try a fix that was just plain desperation. I pulled the seal off the tip of the trunk edge from the top left to top right, basically where the edge can be easily leaned against by somebody putting things in and out of the trunk. This low loftover area only has a thin sheetmetal lip holding the trunk seal in place. Using a pair of pliers, I evenly bent the lip just slightly inwards, to force the seal to press harder against the trunk lid lip once re-installed. I was sure to keep the lip straight as I bent it since it is very easy to distort the lip edge doing this. I pushed the seal back on the lip and haven't had a leak since. This fix took all of 20 minutes to do. I suspect the previous owner, in the past, leaned against the tunk lip seal altering the lip causing my leak. I did not add any sealant to the lip seal when I pushed it back on. It was sticky enough when I pulled it off.

This was my experience with a trunk leak.

I had some water in my trunk lid everytime it rained and I opened my trunk, it would pour all over me. I also had my spoiler rubbing through the paint on my trunk lid so I had the body shop fix the paint and blend it under the spoiler and they reattached the spoiler with the factory hardware aswell as some two sided tape on the front and rear edge of the spoiler, so that it would not vibrate up and down and cause the same issue. Ever since there has been no water. So that leads me to beleive it was going in through the studs on the spoiler. I would take the spoiler off and seal the studs with some black silicon aswell as the two sided tape.
