1995 Bonneville SE Engine Replacement
I saw a topic for an engine swap and information about everything needed to put a Supercharged 3800 in place of the standard 3800. They made 3800 engines up until 2011. What is the newest model 3800 Supercharged engine that would replace the 1995 engine I have now? I need to replace the dash so I would need to replace all the wiring anyway. What else would I need to do?

Re: 1995 Bonneville SE Engine Replacement
95 is OBD1.5 and it came with a 4t60-e transmission. All Series 2 L67s were OBD2 and 99% came with a 4t65-hd. The only Series 2 OBD2 L67 PCM that will control a 4t60-e is a 1996 SSEi but there are differences between 95 an 96 4t60s and tuning is more difficult. You don't need to replace the wiring when remove/replacing the dash and you don't need to remove the dash to wire in an OBD2 Series 2 L67 and 4t65hd setup.
Get a 97-99 SSEi engine/trans/engine wiring harness and pcm. Then take both FSMs and figure out the wiring. There's no guide beyond that.
