Door seals leaking

Post by Eastside »

Rained hard here recently, was cleaning the car and made the disturbing discovery of water under the floor mats. The black rubber door seal on both rear doors and my front passenger door all have water sitting on them. Is there any way to remedy this or do i need to replace the seals?

It's pretty well covered in this thread (or at least linked to from this one). IIRC wet door seal gaskets is usually not the door seals themselves but the moisture barrier behind the door panels coming loose and allowing rain water to leak in behind the door panel and into the car. (if that makes sense)
