Burned CD Audio

Hi, I'm a 20 year old who got a pontiac bonneville SSEi as my first car and I'm loving it, but I dont want to listen to the radio all the time. And since my car has a 12 disc cd changer and a cassette player, I want to use those to listen to my own music. I'm unfamiliar with burning CDs and the such as I am just barely young enough to not have done it yet. Will the 2001 SSEi radio play burned cds? If so, what format do they need to be in? I just attemped burning one off windows media player and put it in the car and it just spat it right back out. I am using 700mb (80 mins) CD-R discs

Alternate solution: Bluetooth/aux adapter that broadcasts FM, and stream from your phone.

Yes burned discs work if done correctly. It's been many years since I even thought about burning so I'm not sure what the best software is currently. I had always used Nero. Make sure you are burning an Audio CD not a Data or MP3 CD

I think you need to remember to "close" the CD. It prevents more from being burned to it, but the radio uses that as some sort of qualifier. At least, the player in my older Bonny needs it.
