It's that time again, time to start planning the next installment of the meat meet. I'll keep the first post updated. Once I have a better feel for how things are going I'll worry about the FB event info.
Good news is I'm not planning to go to power tour this year, so I don't have to worry about those expenses. More money for beer!
Again, open to members this year, will be the powder coating setup. If you're interested, check out prismatic powders (order a few swatches, etc...) and bring 2lbs of powder along (label it). Things that are good for this: Anything metal that can be fully disassembled. If there's interest in this I'll make sure consumables are on hand. Oven limit is currently 20x20x36 or so. A strut tower bar without the braces is at the upper limit. 18x8 wheel will fit, but I'm not helping you strip it (it must be 100% paint stripped inside and out, including the bead. Don't use abrasives to strip it). Just let me know so we can make sure you have everything you need (if you're doing calipers....) and I have everything I need (high temp masking tape and Jeopardy music)!
I may have a few new projects that you might find interesting. We'll see how that goes!
Also we managed to aquire an air fryer, I'll have to figure out what we can use it with. I'm probably going to end up making a corned beef. Maybe. I think?...

I'm in! Schedule shows that to be my weekend off so I'll be there for sure! No idea if I'll be in the truck, Cutlass, or Century but *dang* I'll be there.

Matt - Thanks for committing me before I had a chance to! Like Im gonna miss this! (unless, of course, I have another brush with organ failure....)
Obviously, Im in. Air fryer could be interesting. Which one did you get? I've been meaning to get one, but it hasnt really hit my priority list yet. Still a ton of possibilities. Might be good for sides.
Im all about doing corned beef. In fact, I feel like I want to make this happen. Im thinking we could do 10-20 lbs of it.
Also, Gordy's sister really knocked it out of the park with her wings. Those *dang* things were amazing. Wonder if we could impose on Gordy to have his sister prep those again for us.
Ryan also needs to bring his grill, so we have access to that.
Im all for projects, but I'll probably end up being more of an observer, due to being an event. That reminds me, Booze, I still need a sign!

The air fryer we got is a little smaller, a Tristar CM-001. 1700W, I think it's about 6 quarts capacity. Might be able to fit a chicken in there? I'd have to check to see if it still has any racks, might be able to do something like wings or fries or taters or feesh!
I was thinking I might want to try to get a keg of Yuengling to go with the Summer Shandy, but I don't think our local supplier can get them. I'll have to look into that.
The only difficulty with corned beef is there doesn't seem to be a real butcher local. It gets interesting trying to find a fresh cut. I've been able to find the smaller cuts, 2-4lbs, but no full sized cuts. I can clear room in the 'kegerator' to brine them, and I have containers and the prague powder and stuff. I'll have to do more research to source the brisket. We have one pressure cooker, I believe two crock pots that can hold a 5lb cut, so depending on how you want to cook them we should be set.

I will be arriving with the official event.
As much as I don't really want to (as I don't want to work on my days off), I might plan to powder coat the GXP brakes. But, I think I'll have them prepped before the meet.
