New Member with a 1994 Bonneville SE

Hope I'm in the right area for new members? I just joined this Forum after reading some of the posts. I was able to make a couple repairs from those posts already. My wife has a 1994 Bonny SE with no frills. Her father bought it new and gave it to her in 2000. We drove it to Alaska over Christmas/New Years 2000/2001. Her car is in excellent shape mechanically but rusting bad on the undercarriage. They've been SALTING the roads in Alaska since at least the 80's. I flushed the undercarriage every spring, and that's the only reason it even lasted till today. Unfortunately her car is now a parts car.
I purchased another 1994 Bonny SE for her Nov/2016. This car has a few more frills then the old one has. This car had 185,000 miles on it when bought. The car runs great, doesn't burn oil, no squeaks-noise-rattles, most everything works. It has a couple minor issues. Found some answers in your Forum already, and well soon Post some new questions to you knowledgible Pontiac Bonneville (experts) folks.
I'm no mechanic, but I can do maintenance and basic repairs. My hobby is working on old cars. We have a 91 Chevy Suburban with 256,000 miles and the underbody is also rusting. Also, a 1970 Dodge Coroner R/T and a 1965 Buick Gran Sport.
I retired in 2014, and after spending 40+years in Alaska, we moved here to Salem, Oregon. My wife helps me work on our cars and learns pretty fast.
Now that I've thoroughly out texted my welcome and bored everyone to no end, I won't do this again. We are happy to be part of your forum. We are very impressed with the quality of knowledge we've seen on your Forum.
