Non-puck motor mounts?

Talk about modifications, or anything else associated with performance enhancements. Have a new idea for performance/reliability? Post it here. No idea is stupid! (please use Detailing and Appearance for cosmetic ideas)

Non-puck motor mounts?

Post by xyeLz »

I was looking at doing the puck mount (actually bought the pucks a few years ago and never got around to it) but was curious if http://intense-racing.com/PROD/3800-PRO-UMMP-xxx.html would fit our cars? Obviously it's not listed on their site, but I figured I'd ask here to see if anyone has tried them and/or if they've found something other than the pucks. Chances are I'll do something (be it the pucks or something else) before the snow falls, but wanted to ask.

I am using the boat roller mount.
Check out Andrew at Bonnevilles Unlimited.
It works great and is not expensive.

Those mounts you have linked from Intense are for W-bodies only, so Grand Prix, Monte Carlo, etc.

Correct, Those are the upper Dogbone mount inserts for W-body. I made a Puck Mount with Sway bar bushings and have been running it for like 5 years no issues.

I used the yellow boat roller material, lasted 4 years beating on it occasionally, well a little more than that. Its deteriorated
