Air Compressor Running- your $.02 Please

Hello-
I have an 03 SE.
I can hear the compressor running a fair bit... how would you suggest troubleshooting where the break is- be it in the line and/or strut?
Any ways to save time and headache diagnosing/locating are greatly appreciated.

It's pretty common for the lines to rub a hole where they are clipped onto the body about 12" from the shock. I'd also replace the shocks if there is any bounce in the rear end. Currently $43 on Amazon: https://amazon.com/dp/B000C55T7W/

Another problem, that I haven't heard much of lately, is that the ride height sensor can go bad. This keeps the compressor running, raising the back end.
