They make gaskets for the bottom of the blower. Beyond that and the coupler, change the oil obviously, and you're good to go.

You'll want to use an anaerobic sealant, not RTV. Nose drive bolts should be torqued to 19 ft.lb. You won't need to remove the whole blower from the engine, the nose drive can be removed by itself for this job.

Here's a kit Intense sells with everything you need for that job: http://intense-racing.com/Merchant2/mer ... _Induction

Like Carl said, you don't have to take the S/C off the motor to do this job. It can be a little easier, but requires pulling the fuel rail, more wiring, etc. The easiest way to get the fluid out is to take a spray bottle, remove the nozzle and stick the siphon tube from the nozzle in through the fill port and pump the fluid out into the empty bottle. That will make the minimum mess, and with how bad the oil smells, minimum mess is the best way to go.

Also: YOU MUST USE THE PROPER SUPERCHARGER OIL. You cannot use motor oil, gear oil, trans fluid, etc. It's imperative you use the proper oil for that application. You can either get it from a GM parts department or Intense Racing like I listed above. You need 8 oz of fluid. GM sells it in 4 oz bottles, so you'd need 2 bottles from the dealership. Intense sells it in an 8 oz bottle ready to go.

If the LIM gaskets have never been replaced and you plan on keeping
the vehicle for many years, I would change the LIM gaskets if you
end up removing the supercharger.

This thread on another forum suggests that Synthetic 5w-30 may also be used: http://www.gmforum.com/forced-induction ... il-279121/

In there is also a posted TSB amending the 92-93 FSM's.

It's also my understanding that the same oil was used in both superchargers.

One thing not addressed is service interval, which I imagine it can't be the same as the specified supercharger oil.

For a few bucks, I wouldn't risk it. A quart of M1 is about the same price, and yeah you can pour the rest in the engine, but do you really want to experiment over $8? I don't...
