SLE speedometer gauge replacement

I wanted to ask here. I have a 2002 SLE with a busted driver information box on the speedometer. I was looking on eBay and found a GXP dash that looks identical to mine. I wanted to know if that would fit in my vehicle. It is the same layout and appears to have the same connections in the rear. I know it says no GXP on this forum, but thought to ask if they are interchangeable. Thanks again.

The clusters are interchangeable, however you will have to use the mileage chip from the GXP, meaning yours will display inaccurate mileage for the vehicle.

A few things to also consider regarding a used GXP cluster. It seems that from 2004 and up, they used different stepper motors which can lead to the needles showing inaccurate readings, sometimes way off the chart. Additionally, it may have some of the backlighting out.

You can contact Andrew over at Bonnevilles Unlimited. He can send you a rebuilt SLE cluster, or a GXP one for a few extra bucks. He rebuilt my SLE's cluster and I have been very happy with it.
