Gen v swap
Hello guys I am at a stump right now with my car. I have recently just finished doing a gen v swap, intercooler, headers and a 3.4 pulley. I just tried starting my car tonight and when it starts it doesn't want to stay running. When I unplug the maf sensor it will stay running but stays at like 3,000 rpms consistently. I have not done any tuning to the computer yet, but from what I have read a gen v swap will run without any pcm tuning. Any ideas as to what it is? Or would a tune fix my issue? Thanks all in advanced

Re: Gen v swap
Might be a faulty MAF sensor. Did you reuse the stock MAF from the old motor or one that came with the Gen V motor? You might also want to make sure the coolant sensor is good too. It might be enriching it too much.
A temporary fix does not exist. It becomes a solution until it needs to be fixed again.

Re: Gen v swap
I did not change the whole motor out this was just the gen v swapped onto a l67, but the maf worked perfectly fine before I tore the car down. I will look into the ect sensor thank you for youreply input
