Need info.
Hood, roof, and trunk pot marked with dimples. Says $5k to repair...I don't want them to take my 2000 baby with 120k. She was pristine condition till now.
Anyone know of a Bronze mist hood and trunk in great condition?
Screwed in Colorado Springs.

Can you retain salvage? They can usually let you keep it for what they would normally get back for selling it salvage.

In my experience, in Illinois at least, they'll let you keep a car if you want, older than 9 years and cut you a check for 9% less than the value of the car. I don't know if that varies state to state and/or company to company.

Yea, it's your choice to accept their offer... It's YOUR car.

if the car is just dented you may want to try paint-less dent removal and screw the insurance company

last year the oldest son had his new Mustang GT dented, a lot, by hail. The PRD guy go them out good enough the son couldn't see them and for less that $1 a ding. Just an FYI. - BC

The insurance company is allowing me to have a lower settlement and keep the car without a salvage title. If I can find a Bronze Mist hood and trunk lid I would be golden. The settlement amount is $2200 with the total value of the car being $3,500.
Anyone have a spare Bronze mist car around

Both my cars have different hoods than original.
95 was hail damage. Totalled and bought it back and fixed it.
05 was teenage son crashed it. Totalled and bought it back and fixed it.
I still have (and drive) both cars. It takes a while to find hoods.
No one wants to ship one, so you have to use local salvage yards.
You may need to drive to Denver to look around.
I paid $50 for my GXP hood, and it had less scratches than the one
I replaced, that is before my son twisted it.
