The blend door actuator seems to have gone out on the trusty Pontiac.

Is there any way to temporarily bypass is until I can make it to the salvage yard for a new one?

Its TOO darn HOT for no a/c!

I tried manually turning the actuator with it attached and it wont budge.

Nevermind, removed the actuator and turned the mix door, still no cold a/c. Last week the drivers side stopped being cold, pressure is 35 on the low side. Now no a/c on either side, pressure still 35 on the low side. I guess I need to get some better gauges and check again!

It sounds like you have a leak!

I'm not sure that its low, 30-35psi seems to be the correct pressure.

It will not take any refrigerant, the compressor kicks on as it should and does not cut off due to low pressure.

The ac line to the orifice tube gets cool to the touch but it stays warm after it, could this indicate a plugged orifice tube?

Temp of tube should drop between orifice tube and firewall. Check temps of tubes in and out of firewall. If not both cold and very close to the same temp you may be low on charge. One side of dash cool, and the other side not can indicate low charge.
