2001 SLE Lock up Torque Converter Engaging Early

Post by VaRunner »

I notice my Lock Up Torque Converter is engaging early at 32 mph under light throttle.
This early engagement burdens the engine with low rpms and puts stress on the drive-train.
I can easily disengage the lock up TC by lifting off the throttle then accelerating.
I first noticed this condition after i replaced the front trans mount with the boat roller design.
Any suggestions from those who had experienced this condition and found a fix?
Thanks in advance.

My car will do this as well, and I never thought it was a problem! On flat ground it seems perfectly okay.
