Oil PSI gauge and engine

This is my first post on this website and quite frankly I'm not too happy I have to post. My Bonneville SE has been acting funny lately. Sometimes (becoming more often the past day or two) while I'm coming to a stop while still in drive, the oil psi gauge shoots all over the place and while that is happening the engine also does a sort of stuttering thing. I'm not sure what this means because I have very little knowledge about cars. I thought at first it was due to the cold temperatures my city has been seeing this week but like I said, I don't know much about cars. This also will happens while I'm in park sometimes. Tonight I got home and it was doing it again so I turned the car off and turned it back on because that seemed to work the last few times, but tonight it did not and I've about had it with the bs, I just want to know what is happening. I just bought the car a couple months ago and nothing has gone wrong since so I am lost at the moment.

Any chance you can capture and upload it to YouTube and share it here? It's kind of hard to visualize what you're saying.

It sounds like the engine may be trying to stall, but I agree, a video will definitely help in this situation.

What city are you in? It sounds like someone with a better trained ear may go a very long way in helping to track down the issue in short order.

Your SES light is on. Did you get the code pulled? If not go to a local autoparts store like Advanced or Autozone. You can ask to pull the code and they'll do it for free.

Post the code here, it'll probable give us some insight on whats happening.

Definitely get the code read to see what it is, first step.

Check for broken or cracked vacuum lines, looks like the oil pressure gauge issue could be just a flaky sending unit.
