Some heat problems
My car has a couple heating problems, for one it takes forever to warm up and the heat isnt very warm when it does. The coolant is all new as of this summer, im going to put a new thermostat in amd flush the heater core and see what happens. Now for the part im unsure of. A couple times now my blower motor has stopped running, both times it didnt start when i turned my car on and randonly turned back on after a few trips. Is this most likely a blower motor issue or is it something else, and is there a writeup for replacing the blower motor anywhere?

Re: Some heat problems
When it won't run, whack the blower motor with something. If it turns on, I'd get a new one. If it doesn't, it might be something else, like the blower control module.

Re: Some heat problems
yes, your no good heat issue is most likely the thermostat: to test it, get a glass and boil some water in kettle: water boils at 212F so put water in glass and drop thermostat in - does it open? I assume your using 180F one - if it opens, pour the water out or add cold water and watch for it to close

Re: Some heat problems
Just wanted to share my experience with the same issue.
First day with the car on the road my water pump bit the dust. After changing it I still had a warm-up issue. I ended up needing a new tensioner/pulley assembly, so I pulled off the fittings on the heater hoses and noticed bits of broken up nylon insert inside, which i dug out, then just re-connected the fitting. If you check these you'll want to pull the fittings out of the hose. When I went to clean my throttle body I noticed a big black chunk of whatever in the water jacket from the intake manifold to the throttle body. Turns out to be the swelled up, gooey remains of a seal or o-ring or whatever. After all this I had no issues with warmup.
Hope this can help narrow down the problem. Nothing on these cars seems to be easy to diagnose

Re: Some heat problems
Stat check, then heater hose touch test for warmth.
