What's it worth...

So without going into too many details, I may have a chance to buy back my old 2k2 SSEi. It has some issues with it now though. I am trying to figure out what the private sale price would be for it. I know the condition of the car since I am the one who still does most of the work on it.

The good:
Interior needs a deep cleaning, but generally no stains, tears, or anything that can't be cleaned up in a weekend.
Tires (by the time it's sold) will all be newer and in good shape
It has about 160,xxx on it

The Fixed/new:
New rear shocks
All new gaskets and fittings from the LIM on up (including metal coolant elbows, belts, engine fluids)
New front stabilizer links
New brakes (rotors and pads)

The bad:
SES: P0420, emissions failure. CAT doesn't seem bad (no rattling), maybe 02's?
Brake/trac/ABS lights, Originally came on occasionally but now always on. No play in wheel bearings but maybe sensors still?
Front Struts, Rear recently were beyond shot, and the fronts show signs of going too.
Creeks and groaning, turning and bumps cause a lot of noise. Suspect ISS, frame bushings and strut tower mounts are all culprits.
Speakers, 8 of the 10 Monsoon speakers are basically shot
Trunk lid, it was closed with the gas cap under the corner of it... now the corner of the lid is bent up about an inch+
Gas door rust, rust is setting in and visible below the paint now.
Front bumper cover, the car something, now the paint on the front bumper cover is all messed up, although the cover itself is probably easily fixable.
Sap, the rear 3rd is covered in tree sap. PITS too remove. It's all dried on already.
There is an unidentified vibration in the drive-train. Maybe an half shaft, maybe something more????
Transmission is way overdue for servicing and could use new fluids, filters and a trans-go kit.
The headlights are in dire need of cleaning. Severe hazing on the lenses.

So what would you say a fair price for this car would be as it sits?

No more than $1000. You don't mention mileage here, but anywhere near 200k I wouldn't pay more than $800 if I had a parts car handy.

I edited for the mileage since initially posting it. 160,xxx miles.

I have a number in mind myself but I'll wait for a few more people to chime in before I share my number.

Sounds to me like a $1,000 - $1,200 car of you have the knowledge to fix it up and know the seller / trying to help them out. If it's a nobody to you then $800 - $1,000.

Knowing full well how many issues may or may not pop up including what's already visible. I agree. No more than $1,000. It is a running/driving car but sounds like it needs lots of TLC.

Well, I've probably put $2500+ in free labor into the car in the last 18 months (based on shop rates). I'll probably offer $500 + Labor Already Performed for it. I doubt with all the dash lights on and the way it drives at the moment they would be offered much more than auction price of $500 anyway as it sits right now. I think the car still has a lot of potential and a lot of life left in it, but it just needs some work done to get it there.

That sounds like a good deal to me.

I'd say anything under $1k cash, with the condition it's in now, is a good price. Your ex is going to need that cash to fix the wall anyways...
