How long did your struts last?

Hi,
The rear shocks are toast on my H-body 04' Buick Lesabre with F41 suspension(Gran Touring Package). The car has 60,000 miles. I am changing the rear shocks with new KYB's(auto leveling) and am wondering before I change em and get an alignment, should I be changing the front struts too at 60k miles? The fronts seem OK but 60k miles seems like a lot. Tell me if I'm wrong. But it does seem like the rears go bad faster.

By the way I have only owned the car a year so never drove it new to know what it felt like when new.

Since you have similar suspension and same shocks/struts, I am wondering what you Bonneville guys have experienced with your front struts?

Thanks

On my '92 SSE we bought new 11/1992, 150K miles. The Monroe Quick-Struts we used as replacements, 100K miles, and probably the same for their replacements. The struts on the 2005 seem to be just fine. The '05 has almost 94,500 miles on it. - BC

Rear shocks had their life cut short at 65k since my car got hit on the side and popped one of them.

Front struts are still going at 112k. But the mounts are destroyed.

Hi, l bought my 2000 ssei with 250,000klm mileage and the rear air shocks were toast..... previous owner had no interest in maintenance. l changed them with max- air and they only have 10000klm on them but the pass one squeaks a bit. the front struts still seem to be fine, car is level and there is no great dive under hard braking and cornering, I do take great care to avoid bad roads.

Careful with the quick strut assemblies, save your springs if not broken. Ride height has been an issue for the one size fits all struts.

Also, the new rubber bushings atop these creak, any suggestions?
