Changing pulley problem and tune

Post by Borderhopper27 »

I've been wanting to change my pulley size for awhile now and when I do I would like a tune as well. The only problem is that when I look at my pulley it doesn't look like any other pulley I have seen on the tutorials on how to change it. I took a picture for you guys to see and tell me what you think. Could the bolt be hiding underneath it? Just haven't seen that before. Also for the tune if anyone here in Michigan has a HP Tuner I would love for someone to scan my car and tune. Feel much better doing that then getting canned tune. Thanks guys!

Looks like the original is missing, is that piece plastic? It looks like a simple push style plastic plug.

This is the original

You'll need to use a special pulley puller to get it off without damaging anything. I rent one: http://www.pontiacbonnevilleclub.com/fo ... 43195.html

They came with either the special vent bolt, or just the plastic plug in the end. It is just keeping the SC oil from sloshing out. The plastic plug pulls straight out.
