It's time once again to play "guess which pulley is bad"

I tried to keep my kids out of the garage but they are very sneaky. Starts with A/C off, then I turn it on and off several times. I think it sounds worse with the A/C off... From listening in person and putting my ear as close as I dare, I'm thinking either the blower, idler, or tensioner pulley. Thoughts?

Sounds like the compressor to me.

Use a mechanic stethoscope on each pulley bolt and you'll be able to tell instantly which one is bad. If you don't have a stethoscope, you can use a long screwdriver. Carefully put the tip of the screwdriver on the bolt and hold the handle up next to your ear. The noisy once will be much louder than the others.

You can remove the supercharger belt to help you narrow it down.

I finally got around to this, it was the compressor AND the tensioner pulley for the supercharger. Going with the compressor bypass pulley for now, no need for a/c until at least May.
