Did the 2001 Bonneville come with a key fob type door lock device? Mine does not have them, just a key and a copy of that. Are they available w/o going to the dealer?

Yes your SSEi did come with keyless entry. I sell them for $20 each + shipping, or a complete plug and play system for $60 + shipping that comes with the module pre-programmed. All you need to do is swap out the module and it instantly works. The module is located in the trunk near the rear speakers. Simple 1 minute job.

There were a few of these cars that didn't come with a key fob (looking at some of the build sheets over the years), but as Andrew said, the SSEi was the top trim level and most certainly would have. There were very few of these in the 2000-05 vintage that didn't have them. Undoubtedly they were simply lost before you got the car.
