I have a 2000 Bonneville ssei supercharged and my air bag light was on when I got the car at 115,000 miles.
since I bought the car I,ve changed all fluids with the best I could buy and changed the radiator the thermostat to a 180 and both hoses and did a complete flush... also did trans fluid and filter and used the lucas that was recommended on this site...
then I had to pull the seats and carpet due to wet floor and back windows not working......
cleared sunroof drains and clamped them together as they where apart causing the wet floor....
cleaned up some small surface rust on the floor and cleaned all grounds on floor and respliced the wires for back windows and the power lock splice since it was factory crap still and it made my back windows come to life for the first time since I had it and now im down to air bag light is on constant and car was never wrecked but I bought it with the air bag light on hoping its just a sensor or a bad connection but im lost on where to look....
I,ve checked all connections under the carpet and the ones going to the seats but what else can I check being I,m the person who dosent like other people touching my cars and would rather do it myself if possible...
I bought it for $2800 and it had a small crack in radiator and the air bag light was on and the back windows and fog lights don't work... is that a decent price?
thanks for your time in advance

You'll need to scan for codes, but in deeper than a parts store can.
Do you own an android device with Bluetooth?

Get a Bluetooth ELM327, the BAFX unit on Amazon is good enough, then go get the $6 app Car Gauge Pro in the app store. That'll give you code reading deep enough to find out why it's on. Than you can fix it and clear the light.

It appears that either the Dash Integration Module (DIM) and/or the Sensing & Diagnostic Module (SDM) which is the air bag module has been replaced. It's not all that difficult to correct, but before I get into that, did you replace one of these or has it been like this since you got the car? The process is not as simple as clearing the DTC.

It all looks factory to me and its been like this since before I bought the car...
And also I cannot access rear integration module it says connection error and to check ob2 connector or check key on/off but no problems with connector or key is on and can access almost everything but will not let me in the rear integration module.....

I asked because there is no good reason for the SDM and DIM to come out of sync unless one was replaced. This means that you:

1. Need to confirm the SDM is the correct part for your vehicle. You should be able to read the part number using the Tech2 and confirm it with a dealer.
2. Need to confirm the VIN and all options are correctly programmed into the DIM.

Once both of these steps are done, the Tech2 can be used to sync the two. Failing to do this can result in possible unpredictable behaviour of the supplemental restraints and/or other vehicle functions.

If the Tech2 can't communicate with the RIM, you likely have either a bad RIM or a wiring problem. I'd start by checking that the two plugs are firmly seated into the module. At the same time, look for any other problems (chafed wires, terminals backed out, etc). I've seen people splice things like stereo equipment into wiring, only to get it wrong and tie into a completely different system.

I have had the rim out of the car before and checked both plugs and made sure they where secure but that was months ago and before I got my scan tool so I'll check everything suggested and get back to you....
Thanks for your patience and help
