2002 ssei spark plugs?

Post by BTBSS »

I just replaced the spark plugs on my ssei 2 days ago. The car was used with 181000 on it. I bought it for a winter driver. I found that 5 plugs had autolite 606 in it with gaps at .065-.070. It had 1 AC Delco in it.rust around all of the plugs. I put NGK TR6 back in.the came gapped at .035. I gapped them out to .055. I bought the TR6 for future mods(3.4pulley, tune,180stat down pipe) . My question is that until I put the other mods on is the .055 the correct gap moor running stock. I just have a k&n drop in.

.55 is good. Make sure you use ac delco iridium. Kills me. Fords love motorcraft chevy loves ac delco. Regardless of the after market quality. They always seem to run better with OE parts

The plugs I took off of mine were NGK's pretty sure they are factory too with only having 38k on the car.

2000 regal SC I had came from factory with ngk. Think that's what I'm going to go with from now on. Last AC I got had ngk on the metal.

I put the autolites that Intense sent me but I have never been an autolite fan. Not sure how long they will live in there before they get swapped, but I'm also not know to change spark plugs with very much frequency.

Ran NGK Coppers for a while.. the gap kept opening up and made the car miss. swapped back to OEM Delco Irridium and good to go. NGK are good plugs, not had good luck with Coppers and boost. I have had Irridiums for a while now and doing great, used NGK Platinums in my Monte Z34 Turbo and allways ran great.

Delco or NGK are great plugs, i like Irridiums on the L67's.
