Hey,

I picked up a 2002 ssei in August for a winter driver. It had 181,000 on it. The previous owner bought it from a used GM car dealer. It was hit front and rear based on the inner fender liners painted the same color as the car. Got it for about $1800. Motor runs and shifts fine. I don't know if it was rebuilt or not. The block was painted black so I'm guessing that it was rebuilt at some time.
My father has a 1999 GTP back in the day and have always been a fan of the blower on the 3.8 from the factory.

So far I have replaced the front and rear brake pads and rotors, front struts and shocks, front calipers, front brake hoses, tie rods, sway bar bushings, passenger sub frame rear body mounts and alignment. I just did the spark plugs and it had 5 auto lite 606 and 1 Ac Delco plug.

Heated seats are out and I found two broken wires and reconnected them but the light still kicks right back out. Not sure on that one.

Back when I had my cobalt ss supercharged I was a fan of zzperformance. I want to go stage 1 and get about 50extra hp and increase the fuel mileage by 2mpg on it. That is the extent on mods for this that I want to do.

Welcome.

The heated seat means there is another broken wire somewhere in the seat.

Don't buy the stage kits from ZZP. You'll want headers and an intake along with a 180* theromstat before you drop pulley sizes. You can order a mail tune from Intense or Overkill Motorsports. Not many are a fan of ZZP in the 3800 community, particularly the tunes.

I thought the the Series II flows pretty good for an intake and that it's not really worth it to buy and intake except for the sound.
I got the 180 stat and put in the TR6 plugs. I'll have to do a search on the why not so many fans of ZZP. I did however ask a question to them on the gap of the plugs and there was no response via e-mail or FB.
Who makes the header besides ZZP and is it the front or the rear that would need to be swapped out. I read somewhere that the front is the restriction.
If I have HP tuners does Intense do a deal where you pay for a tune and they ship it via e-mail over to write it to the PCM?
