Rack and Pinion question!

After replacing almost everything on the front end on my 99' Se the rack is the culprit of my troubles now I'm kinda on a tight budget so I was looking to get a used one and put it in myself anyone have a procedure? My 2nd question is most of everywhere I've checked for a rack only had non-magnasteer ones now I'm not sure if mine is or isn't just yet but does it matter which one I use?
