Remove the seat bolt covers and then there are 4-T47 torx bolts. You'll have to move the seat all the way forward to access the rear ones.
Remove the dash bezel and you'll see the 4 bolts holding the center console to the dash. There are also 2 bolts on the sides of the console holding it to the floor. Disconnect the shifter cable, the brake release cable and the wiring and it should pull right out.

Necro. I think I found a video that shows the screws required to remove the console, but I'd like to verify.
around 4:39 are the two hex screws in this video the right ones?
How do you remove the shift cable and wiring? Do you have to pull the console cover like in this video and do it before you remove the console?

4 - 10mm bolts hold the console to the dash, two are hiding under the switch panel in the video.
Yes you have a to remove the shifter bezel trim plate to access the cables and wiring. I use a flat blade screwdriver to pop them off.

I have to replace my carpet as well and was wondering how yours turned out. Did you have to add any additional padding to your carpet or did you find an exact match that had all the padding already attached as the original did?
