looking at 2002 bonneville se

Post by kgriggs33 »

Test drove a 2002 Bonneville SE today with 170,000 miles. Car is in great shape. Right under where the thermostat is, I saw a gunky buildup. Might be intake gasket. Any thoughts? I have a picture but couldn't find out how to upload on this forum. If you look where the thermostat goes and look down three inches is where the black wet buildup is. Also, how do you add a picture? haha. I am new to the forum.

Welcome.

You must host pictures through Photobucket and post the IMG tags here.

May very well be a LIM gasket that is causing what you are describing. It could also be a valve cover gasket. When you post a picture we can say more.
