First real build car

Finally I have my first project car. A 2000 silver ssei 192k on it. Still strong. Ive really been excited to get this car going. I will be posting pics soon. Any ides on what to do with it after I get the mecanics up to par?

Got the tranny filter replaced. Black fluid out red in. Plugs wires done. Also got the boost gauge fixed and bypass fixed as well. This babys got real boost now. Next on my list. Intake manifold gasket. And nee radiator. Then motor mount. Tires alignment and stereo work. In that order. Maybe. Depends on how well these tires hold up. Nexen tires suck btw

What else can you do? Well, what other things are you interested in? Lighting, performance, cosmetics...?

The mechanics will keep you busy all summer. Read the audio section on the forum about aftermarket head units because they don't always play nice with the Bose system.

Well not so mich lighting. Im 33 3 kids married. Not into the flashy underglow and all that. Performance upgrades will be in my future though I have no idea where to start with other than the basics. Make it breath then add fire. Thats what my uncle taught me. I know the frame is built like a tank so im not worried about that. I would lile to take an inch or two off the hight. Maybe mess with the exhaust a little. Stereo upgrades will happen. But I want to keep the head unit. Bu I have burned out LEDs in it. Change the color of the dash lights. Something. This is my car. My canvas

And the mechanics will not keep me busy all summer. If given the money and a free time with no kiddos. I will get the LIM done in about 8 hours. Radiator in less than 2 I work at an auto shop and I dont keep my customers waiting. There for I wont be kept waiting. But trust. It will be done right

My plan for this car is to be a date car for my wife and I but it will be my daily driver too. I want it to look sharp. I can fix anything. Diag almost anything. But when it comes to upgrades minus brakes and general bolt on stuff. Im kinda lost

Ok. Heres whats on tap for this week end. LIM. And coolant flush and exchange. Just a little worried about the radiator. Looks like there is bars leak inside. Whats a good flush chemical. The radiator I can do by removing and using degreaser but what about the internals. Also. Should an oil change be done when I do this. If the worry is coolant contaminating the oil. I think I can eliminate that with some rags and a vacuum. Any other worries? Also. What is the smallest underive pully I can install with out risk of engine damage. [img][img][/img][/img]

Ok. LIM not done yet. Had a personal injury and work has been crazy. Rebuilt the entire brake system on a 99 xj but thats a different forum. Anyway. Found a really interesting article on dexcool and green coolant. Read and share as you wish

LIM this week end. Hope the weather holds out. Other than coolant flushing. What else should be changed with this. I can spare the oil I think. Just being carefull. Anything else??
