SUN ROOF LEAKING

I have an 03 SSEi with a sunroof. I had the problem with water on the floor. Mainly the rear passenger floor. There was black mold or mildew so i pulled the carpet, cleaned the floor of any rust and debris. Rust was very minimal, only where the seats mounted. I bought replacement carpet from harofreak. I cleared all the drain tubes and tested them. I recovered the sunroof shade and the headliner. This was last fall.
Now, I have water again. Its back with vengeance. I paid a repair shop that specialized in this sort of repair. I was told the tubes were plugged again and that the front door seals were bad. He even demonstrated with a hose. I paid 495 bucks. The door seals are getting put in Friday.
Last night it rained and this morning get in and there's water on the door panels, front floor mats, console by the shifter and spatter in the cup holders, and the rear passenger floor has about a half inch of standing water. :banghead:
This doesnt seam to be door seal or drain tube related. I think the sunroof needs adjustment. I have the screws nice and tight with the glass up as high as it will go. The glass still seams to be sitting low.
Any help or thoughts is appreciated
Pictures are in my gallery under sunroof leak. i havent figured out how to post them

The sunroof seal isn't made to be water tight. It has a water channel inside the assembly to let the water drain out. If the glass needs to be adjusted higher than it will go, you will need to calibrate the motor, which requires dropping the rear of the headliner.

The headliner is out. how do you calibrate the motor?

Basically you use the vent position on the switch to adjust the angle of the glass to be how you want it when it is closed. Next, remove the motor from the assembly, and move the switch through all the positions, and then back to the closed position. Insert the motor back into the assembly and reassemble. This should resync the motor with the glass.

Remove the plastic cover from each of the front wheel wells. It is at the back of the wheel well and runs from the fender inside a few inches. It takes 3 minutes to remove each one. Behind it is the outlet for the sunroof drains. You will see the rubber sunroof drain is visible ends in a nipple with a thin slit to let water drain. Cut the slit off to make the opening larger. It gets clogged up with dirt and debris, then the drain fills up and the sunroof leaks into the headliner. You also have to cut the rubber cowl covering under the dash on both sides and locate the area where the plastic tube from the sunroof attaches to the rubber drain. There is no clamp and they come apart. The left one requires you to remove the parking brake pedal assembly. The right one requires removal of the glove box and it is to the right of the glove box.

UPDATE:

After a hard rain saturday morning, I had about an inch of standing water on the rear pass. floor and water one the console, passenger seat, passenger seat. It was still raining when I checked it and I saw water dripping from right about the middle side of the sunroof. Sunday I checked and the drains were flowing and clear.

I pulled the carpet and sealed the sunroof permanently. I would rather have a clean dry interior than a wet smelly one.

Thanks everybody for your input.
