Mutt electrical gremlins, long read!

Pretty much all together, no start. Security light is staying on, even after attempting the security relearn, it does not shut off even after more then 15 minutes (10 minutes is the time it should shut off) PCM, ignition switch, key, and passkey module all are original to the 2004 SLE which ran and drove before the swap. The only thing that I am foggy on exactly is the IPM which may be from the '04 SLE or could possibly be from the '05 GXP...

My scangauge II will not connect to the PCM, tries and tries but never establishes connection.
I DO hear the fuel pump priming.
Not even clicking at the starter, engine is not seized.
Everything seems to work as it should just no start.
DIC buttons and a few other odds and ends not hooked up yet, but as far as I know everything that would have anything to do with starting / running is hooked up.
Drivetrain wiring harness was never removed from the drivetrain, PCM was left attached to the drivetrain as well, everything was unhooked from the body harness via the two main plugs and then dropped out the bottom.

Windows and locks do not work, but power mirrors do. I verified power to the drivers door module and even swapped in the module from the '04 SLE I pulled the harness from, no luck. Drivers window motor tested good with direct power, multiple main switches tried with no luck. Also verified pinouts / wires at the door harness connecter inside the car are the same, one wire was a different color slightly (very slightly, could have been faded from age) I will sort that out tomorrow after work to make sure it goes to the same place as the 04 door harness.

I checked the ground on top of the trans, removed and cleaned it just in case, no change.
Unplugged the PCM and checked the connections, all good, no change.

There may be more going on, but that is about what I can remember off the top of my head.

IIRC, with a security problem, the fuel pump shouldn't prime. Only things that come to mind right off-hand is the ground under the ICM, and to check the IGN fuses.

That is what I thought too with the fuel pump, I am wondering if the ignition switch took a dump during the process? I have several I am going to try as well as jumping the starter to see if it fires up.

All fuses are good, tried a different ignition switch with swapping the key cylinder and exciter in, then tried with the exciter, key cylinder, and TDM / passkey module, still no luck. I tested the wires from the ignition switch to the TDM for continuity then from the TDM to the rest of the dash harness for continuity and all is well.

I pulled the cover off a relay and put it in the starter relay spot, manually firing the relay the engine fires up then does within a few seconds.

The windows and locks still continue to not work, I am thinking the issue is somewhere a module or something is not getting the signal that the key is on, the mirrors work even with the key off on my '03 SSEi, and that is exactly how this one acts.

With all the swapping so far, the security light will still not shut off while attempting a relearn.

I had some similar problems after using a certain scan tool the plugged into the USB of a computer. The security light stayed on and the car would not start and several accessories did not work. In my case, disconnecting the battery and reconnecting it solved the problem.

I could try that, certainly couldn't hurt I guess. The only thing I have hooked up is my scangauge II which I have hooked up to several other vehicles without issue, it will not connect to the PCM now though, I am thinking of maybe trying to swap PCMs out just for the heck of it just to see if there is any change...

Using the ground on the connector to the VTD module, check to see if it is getting the proper voltages.

I did a complete swap from a 2002 to a 2001. I'm having the exact same issue. Did you ever happen to figure this out?

The wiring harness under the rear deck for the speakers and compass module needed to be swapped out too for whatever reason. As soon as I did that everything was fine and it fired right up without issue.
