Can someone tell me what's causing this?

More than likely a bad wire on one of the wheel speed sensors.

Couple things can cause this...
* Bad Yaw Sensor (in trunk)
* Steering angle position sensor (Probably the most common)
* Bad Wheel speed sensor or connection

You will need someone to scan it to determine which one is the culprit.

Mine did it when i would go over a small dip while turning.. Ended up being my Yaw sensor. Found one CHEAP on amazon and replaced it and no problems after that.
Easy to relace, its in the trunk on drivers side the upper rear part of the deck lid inside hareo has some used ones if you need one to try out cheap.

Redzmonte, does need the tech-2 scanner? just thinking out loud

A Tech II isn't required, however something capable of reading ABS codes is. Most standard code readers can not pull ABS codes.

c1221, c1225, c1232

lf seed sensor input at 0, circuit open or shorted.

do i need to replace the wheel hub assy (which i understand contains the sensor) or is there external wiring i can try fixing?

Also, if you have Advance Auto where you live, they should have scanners that pick these codes up and give descriptions. When I went to Auto Zone they could only pull the codes, without descriptions.

i'm having a very similar issue with my 02 ssei. i notice this,,,when i turn the wheel to the right i get no lights or codes. when i turn my wheel to the left beyond a full rotation and a half of the steering wheel. i get the dash to light up like a christmas light show. but, however incidental this may be,,,if i have the airshocks full of air, i get no codes at all no matter what i do. what could this be?

As those codes all refer to the left front wheel speed sensor, that is the likely culprit. You could disconnect at the hub, then with the ignition on measure the voltage on the harness. It should read a bit under 5 volts.

Get the codes pulled, and we can go from there. What the airshocks would have to do with it at this point, I don't know.

won't have the cash to get the codes pulled for a couple weeks. the dealership wants a hunnid bucks to get them for me. sad. anyway, i was wondering if it could be that the shocks are dead? or maybe even the coil spring on one side weak as well. i have already replaced everything in the front end of the car, quick struts, control arms, ball joints, tie rod ends, and hubs. had zero siisues after i did all that work. until i realized that there were actuially four different sized tires on it and had them changed that i had any issues at all. when i had the tires changed, everything went bananas.

As Dean posted above, you can get it scanned for free at Advance Auto Parts or Autozone. Even just the code will be a big help.

If you have smart phone you can get a bluetooth-OBD converter cheap. Mine is a real help. The descriptions are lame but you get the codes.

Oreillys out here will let you use one in their lot.

will that read all the gm only codes as well? like break codes and the such? i havce a scanner, it's obd2, but it only gives generic codes. no anti locks or any of the others.

I don't think the OBD Bluetooth reader will read ABS codes now that you mention it, but I do know the free to use scanner at Oreillys does.

sad to say it, but the oreilly's here in bangor doesn't have the scanners. that's why i bought mine. i went and they didn't have so i bought. funny thing how that works like that when they advertise that they all have them.
