power steering and AC

So two questions here..
1) I got my air conditioner compressor on my 97 SE replaced before I came to chicago last may, it worked for about 2 months then all the sudden just shut off. I messed with it and messed with it and the only way I got the compressor clutch to engage was by jumping one of the relays, and even then, it wouldn't blow cold air. Any ideas on what it might be? Does it just need charged?

2) I bought a replacement power steering pump, my car has the pump that has the reservoir on it and the one I bought doesn't have the reservoir on it, will this effect anything or do I need to send it back and get the one with the reservoir on it?

Being low on refrigerant would be the mostly like cause for your A/C problem. On the power steering pump, you take the reservoir off the old one and put it on the new.
