Looks like I am going to be dropping the Northstar out of a GXP to install head studs.
Other than spark plugs- what other items should I like at replacing as a preventative measure while the Northstar engine is out?
What other items should be performed with engine out?

I'd re-gasket as much of the motor as I could, especially the oil pan and other pieces. The oil pan is pretty notorious for leaking on the N*.

Cam covers too. But I would "presume" that would be addressed in the rebuild.

Depending on the milage, I would take a look at your water pump. They aren't much fun, it would be much better with the engine out of the car.
