Best remote start you can buy?

I'm getting a good chunk of change from my taxes, so now I think it's a good time to install some remote start. I want something that will work from a good distance, like maybe an app I can have on my phone. That way when I'm at school or at work I can start from in the building just fine.
Also, is it bad to run the engine while having the block heater plugged in? Because I plug my car in every night and if I got remote start, would I have to go out and unplug it every time I go to start it up?
Thanks.

We have this on the Tahoe and the Camaro. And let me tell you, it's probably one of the best and seamless I've ever used. Two way remote, security and remote start, and it'll work from the back of a department store to the back of the parking lot. I believe it's made by Viper just their off or Canadian brand, but I could be wrong.

Alright, is that easy to install or did you have a dealership/shop put it in?

We had a local shop put it in, but at that price for the unit. It really doesn't break ya to go professional haha

I'll have to ask my Dad when he gets home from work, I can't recall exactly off the top of my head. Less than a $100 for install forsure, but I'm not sure if we got the hookup price or normal. My Dad's known the guy for a few years now.

I've had that very system in my 99 SSEi since '09. works great!
I have also bought another one to go in my 85 X-11...will be putting that in when it warms up.
I have the Avital 4300 on my daughter's 97 SE
I highly recomend them... and installation is not that difficult...but if you're not a wiring guru...it may be a little challenging.

I know some stuff about vehicles, and I've taken an electrician course at the technical college near me. So I know a better than average amount about wiring and stuff like that.
